A bus driver was moderately injured during the night (Thursday) near the Hizma checkpoint in Jerusalem by throwing stones.

The driver was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in the city and his condition is defined as moderate.

Due to the severe damage to the Workers' Transportation Committees Association, it decided to suspend the operation of Electra Afikim lines, between the settlements of the Benjamin Envelope and Jerusalem between 11: 00-09: 00 (list of lines attached).

The stones were thrown at the unprotected windshield,

Tam Promovich, head of the Forced Transportation for Workers industry, said: "The stone-throwing near the Hazma junction is getting worse. In the last month there has been a 30% increase in stone-throwing cases, with a bus being killed every day.

"The attacked bus was protected, but the stones were aimed specifically at the driver's windshield without protection. In light of the helplessness of the security forces in the face of these attacks, there is no escape from shutting down the lines. We will not compromise on the safety of drivers and passengers."
